About FitMyPic

What FitMyPic does

FitMyPic provides simple browser-based tools for resizing, compressing, and converting images. The site is designed for everyday image tasks such as preparing social media posts, thumbnails, avatars, product previews, and upload-ready files.

Local image processing

Image files are processed in your browser with JavaScript and canvas features. FitMyPic does not require you to upload images to a server for resizing or compression, which keeps the workflow fast and private for common image adjustments.

Who it is for

The tools are useful for creators, students, small business owners, ecommerce sellers, and anyone who needs a quick way to adjust image size or file format before posting, sending, or uploading an image.

What the tools are designed for

FitMyPic focuses on common image tasks: resizing large camera photos, preparing square images, creating YouTube thumbnails, reducing file size, and exporting files in practical formats such as JPG, PNG, and WebP.

It is not meant to replace professional photo editing software. For advanced retouching, background replacement, layered design, or print color management, a dedicated image editor may be more appropriate.

Privacy-focused workflow

The browser-local workflow is useful when you only need a quick resize or compression result. You choose a file, adjust settings, preview the result, and download the output without creating an account.

How results are produced and checked

FitMyPic uses the browser's image decoder and canvas encoder. After a user changes dimensions, format, or quality, the tool redraws the selected image and creates an output blob in the chosen format. The displayed output size is measured from that blob rather than inferred from a generic percentage.

Before publishing changes, the main workflows are checked with real JPG, PNG, and WebP files on desktop and mobile-sized browsers. Checks cover loading, aspect-ratio controls, preview comparison, output dimensions, download naming, and local processing behavior.

Editorial approach

FitMyPic guides are maintained around tasks the tool can actually perform. They distinguish resizing, cropping, and compression; explain format limitations; and use concrete dimensions instead of promising a single setting that works everywhere.
