Why 1024 x 1024 is useful
A 1024 x 1024 image is a square format that works for avatars, product previews, marketplace images, app-style icons, and many upload forms. It is large enough to stay sharp while still being easier to handle than huge camera photos.
Watch out for distortion
If your original image is not square, forcing it into 1024 x 1024 may stretch it. For product images and portraits, use a square crop or a background canvas before final export. For simple graphics, direct resizing may be fine.
Best output format
Use JPG for photos, PNG for transparent graphics, and WebP for web pages. If the upload platform only accepts JPG or PNG, choose the required format before downloading.
