How to Resize an Image Online

What image resizing means

Resizing changes the pixel dimensions of an image. A 4000 x 3000 photo can be resized to 1200 x 900 for a website, 1080 x 1080 for a square post, or 1280 x 720 for a thumbnail. Smaller dimensions usually reduce file size and make images easier to upload.

Keep aspect ratio when possible

Aspect ratio is the relationship between width and height. If you change only the width and keep the aspect ratio locked, the height updates automatically. This prevents faces, products, and logos from looking stretched.

Recommended workflow

  1. Upload your JPG, PNG, or WebP image.
  2. Enter the target width or choose a preset.
  3. Keep aspect ratio enabled unless you need an exact crop-like size.
  4. Choose JPG for photos, PNG for transparent graphics, or WebP for web use.
  5. Download the resized image.
